Bordering the Persian Gulf, Dubai has much to offer visitors. From desert camps and dune buggy riding, to luxury retail and five-star hotels, to water sports and a world-renowned restaurant scene, Dubai has risen out of the desert sands to become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Burj Al Arab Jumeirah

Iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel is the pinnacle of luxury in Dubai, its sail-shaped silhouette rising 321 metres above the shimmering Arabian Gulf. Located on a man-made island it offers guests outstanding views, a helipad, superlative suites and service fit for royalty. Award-winning chef Nathan Outlaw helms the Burj’s unique underwater aquarium restaurant Al Mahara, reached by a simulated submarine voyage.

Dubai Mall

Dubai is renowned for its extraordinary shopping attractions, offering visitors a mixture of high-end malls and designer craft shops. Dubai Mall reigns supreme as the world’s largest mall. You’ll find everything here, from an Olympic-sized skating rink to the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo via 1,000 retailers vying for your plastic. Stores include Zara, Topshop, Bloomingdales and Galeries Lafayette. Head to Fashion Avenue for 80 inspired luxury brands including Gucci, Burberry, Cartier and more…

Burj Khalifa

The world’s tallest skyscraper has two observation decks reached by high-speed elevator. Step off on the 124th floor for At The Top or reach for At The Top Sky at a vertiginous 555m. You’ll be rewarded with 360-degree views of Dubai, the desert and the Arabian Gulf.

Ski Dubai

Nowhere else in the world can you play in snow and desert on the same day. Ski Dubai is actually skiing in the desert – inside the massive Mall of the Emirates, you can practise your turns on real snow surrounded by chalets and restaurants. Alternatively, ride a frozen zipline, explore the snow cavern or take a fast ride down on the twin track bobsled. You can even build a snowman.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

Based in Dubai Mall, the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo contains a mind-boggling 10-million litre tank filled with more than 33,000 aquatic animals. As you walk through the 48-metre tunnel, the animals swim above and around you. Prepare to see sand tiger sharks, stingrays, take a glass-bottomed boat tour and even go swimming with the sharks (wearing a mask and oxygen tank of course). Oh, and little mermaids-in-waiting will love the mermaid makeover.

Spice Souk, Gold Souk, Textile Souk

Away from the glittering malls are Dubai’s famous souks. The Gold souk is a glittering spectacle and also has platinum, pearls and silver amongst its wares. The Spice souk is an aromatic taste of the past as you wander among the various emporiums selling spices, teas, nuts, oils and saffron. For clothing head to the Textile souk with its sumptuous selection of raw silk, cotton and embroidered fabrics.
