Chapman Freeborn expands further into Asia and appoints SkyMart Inc as GSA in Korea
4th September 2006
Chapman Freeborn has continued with our drive to expand into Asia by appointing SkyMart Inc as our GSA in Korea. This is presently a cargo-focused partnership with Korea a huge origin and destination for cargo charters and also as a hub for other points in the region such as China and Japan.
SkyMart was established and certified by the Korean Ministry of Construction & Transportation in 2004 and has already built very strong relationships with key cargo operators in the region and is GSA for many of them already.
As well as promoting our capabilities in this market to generate further air cargo charter work and to provide commercially competitive charter capacity of the nature of co-load and back-load solutions, SkyMart will also provide local assistance on the ground with flight representation and assistance with landing and overflight permits etc.

SkyMart president, Dong Park, has worked in the aviation industry for some 30 years and has worked with Chapman Freeborn already on relevant regional projects. As CF’s Group Cargo Director, Russi Batliwala comments;"SkyMart and Dong’s vast experience and contacts in the Korean market and elsewhere in the Asian region make them a natural partner for us, and the perfect addition to the Chapman Freeborn family. Together with our new Hong Kong operation, this is another milestone as we focus further on the Asian cargo charter market."
The Korean operation will work primarily in partnership with our existing Singapore office, for more information and contacts see www.chapman-freeborn.com.
