Chapman Freeborn Benelux Continues To Enjoy Cargo Charter Growth

15th September 2005

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering is one of the major players in the cargo charter market in the Benelux region, and with offices in Amsterdam, Ostend and Brussels, it’s no wonder we have this vital area well covered.

2004 into 2005 has continued to see us go from strength to strength with some interesting cargo charter projects:-

* 35 vehicles to El Fasher, Sudan
* A series of salvage flights from Amsterdam and Ostend to Cairo, Lisbon and Tunisia on Antonov 12 / A300F
* Urgent car parts by air from Holland to Germany on AN12 / A300F when the weather made surface transport impossible
* Tsunami relief
* Aid flights for major aid agencies / NGOs into Mauritania, Niamey, Sudan and Chad on a variety of aircraft from AN12, IL76, DC8 and DC10.
* Fresh fish from Tanzania to Eastern Europe
* Large quantities of freight from all over the Benelux region and the rest of Europe into Iraq via our hub in Sharjah

Belux Regional Manager Chris Vandenplas reports"we have seen remarkable growth versus the same period last year and an unforeseen busy summer period.

"As well as increasing the range of our own chartering activities, we have worked to support the many other offices in CF’s global network with their flights in / out of airports like Ostend.
In addition, we have been involved in cargo aircraft leasing in the Middle East."

The experience in Holland is very similar. Niels Boelens, who was appointed Country Manager in November 2004 also reports"the last few months have been much stronger compared with the same months last year".

The indicators are all for another strong year to come.
