Chapman Freeborn Airchartering Appoints New General Manager in Germany

8th August 2005

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has recently appointed Stefan Kohlmann as General Manager in Germany, responsible for all charter activity in all of our German chartering offices, namely Frankfurt, Berlin, Cologne and Munich.

Stefan will supervise the ten-strong broking team, a team which also continues to grow. He has been with the group since 1998, managing our charter operations in Frankfurt and overseen further steady growth in both the passenger and cargo charter markets which he has plenty of hands-on experience with.

Interesting cargo charter projects that Stefan has arranged himself include the transportation of an entire power plant to Africa and AOG parts via executive jet from Europe to Papeete, Tahiti which arrived in less than 24 hours from the first call!

Prior to joining Chapman Freeborn, Stefan had worked in freight forwarding. He loves to travel and prior to taking on his new responsibilities had just been on a trekking holiday in Tibet – the perfect place to “chill out” and prepare for such a challenging role.

Chapman Freeborn Germany Managing Director Russi Batliwala said: “Stefan has proved himself to be a great team player and leader of the local team in Frankfurt. I wish him continued success heading up the German charter broking team”.
