Chapman Freeborn Airmarketing Aviation Support Services Expand
Operations Further In India, China & Europe
4th August 2005
Chapman Freeborn’s Airmarketing division comprises of a worldwide network
of GSA, Station Management, Supervision and Airline Representation operations
and it has seen some recent new clients join our portfolio in Asia as well
as in Europe.
Firstly, after lengthy negotiations, in April 2005, we were proud to be
appointed as cargo GSA for BMi in India, who now operate a four times a
week direct service from Heathrow to Mumbai which commenced in mid May.
Cargo uplifts are already increasing at a great rate and the airline is
looking into further route expansion into other cities in India such as
Chennai, Bangalore and perhaps New Delhi. In support of this expansion,
we have opened a new office in Mumbai which also handles cargo charter operations
and we are looking at other strategic locations in the region.
Heading a little farther East, we have also been appointed as the only
independent supervision company in China with our new contract to provide
flight supervision services on behalf of Air Europa for their A340 services
into Peking and Shanghai from Madrid.
And back in Europe: in Frankfurt, at the end of June, we were awarded the
supervision services of Armenian carrier Armavia, who operate weekly services
on an A320 from Yerevan to Frankfurt, with a view to increasing the frequency
substantially as the service grows
Finally, we have opened a new operational office in Manchester to provide
Station Management and Supervision services to a number of our client airlines,
namely Air Transat, Belavia, Cyprus Airways, LOT Polish Airlines and Maersk.
We provide a full range of services at this major international hub such
as check-in, supervision and airport operations. We also have the ability
to supervise other Chapman Freeborn Airchartering flights which may pass
through the Airport.
Looks like 2005 is going to be another great year for the Chapman Freeborn
group!
