Chapman Freeborn opens new Houston office
Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has announced the expansion of its US operations.
The global aircraft charter specialist has opened a new office in Houston due to growing demand for its services in the region.
The announcement follows a highly successful first 10 months of the year for Chapman Freeborn's US business, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Gavin-jon Deeks, who was appointed president of the company earlier this year, said:
"We’re delighted to be opening the new office in Houston. The expansion further highlights Chapman Freeborn's leading position in the US charter market.”
Chapman Freeborn’s client portfolio for cargo charter and on board courier (OBC) services already includes major freight forwarders and international aid agencies, as well as clients from sectors including energy and manufacturing industries.
Recent high-profile operations include a series of flights to help tackle the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Chapman Freeborn oversaw multiple cargo charters on AN-124, B747-400F, B747-200F aircraft to transport skimmer boats, rubber booms and other oil spill equipment from around the world to Houston and New Orleans.
Earlier in the year Chapman Freeborn was also involved in the airlift response to the earthquake in Haiti. The company’s US and global offices completed over 100 flights to move relief cargo and rescue teams from the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia on behalf of international aid agencies.
In addition to the cargo charter operations, Chapman Freeborn’s team will provide specialist executive aircraft charters for Houston’s business community. Only New York City is home to more Fortune 500 listed corporations’ headquarters.
Elsewhere, Chapman Freeborn’s passenger charter services will be utilised by clients including tour operators and incentive travel organisers.
The company’s global expertise in supplying aircraft charter solutions for the entertainment industry will also see a number of VIP clients calling on its private charter services.
Chapman Freeborn has 32 offices in 22 countries worldwide and arranges more than 5,000 aircraft charters a year.
