Chapman Freeborn completes Libya and Egypt evacuation flights
The world’s largest aircraft charter company Chapman Freeborn has experienced high demand for evacuation flights in recent weeks.
In response to the crisis in Libya groups of passengers including oil and gas industry workers were safely flown from Tripoli to airports in Turkey and Malta. Aircraft successfully utilised for evacuation operations include B737 and Fokker 100 types.
The troubled situation in Libya comes amid a wider wave of protest in the Middle East and North Africa - including recent events in Egypt which also prompted the evacuation of thousands of foreign nationals on chartered aircraft.
Chapman Freeborn flew passengers from Cairo to airports including London Gatwick, Istanbul, Dubai, and Barcelona on chartered B757, B737 and ATR 72 aircraft, as well as executive jets called in from the Middle East.
Chapman Freeborn has 32 offices in 22 countries worldwide and arranges more than 6,000 aircraft charters a year.
